This nice little amp was brought in with the reverb tank missing, apart from that the input jack was a bit hit and miss and the whole thing was in a bit of a mess. I was able to get an appropriate reverb tank from Hotrox, the input jack was a bit harder to source though, so I stripped it down and cleaned and tensioned the internal contacts. All it needed after that was a good clean up and a bit of a test…perfect, what a lovely little valve amp.
I had another one in at the same time with a very loud hum which turned out to be a faulty output transformer, not a cheap item but, in my opinion, well worth the expense. The owner is still mulling it over, so for the time being it lives under my workbench.
